Practicing Minimalism and conscious consumerism in Japan

White Day 2017

White Day was yesterday in Japan and mine was pretty regular by most standards.  Sadly, I didn’t get to see bae on actual White Day which was a bit of a bummer but he did give me this adorable set of fancy macaroons.   I found a few treats on my desk the day before White Day: two rum cakes from my girlfriend and a box of candy from the boys volleyball coach with a cute group picture of all of us from our last volleyball game on it.  On actual white day I found a sizable brownie (or fudge?) on my desk from another male co-worker who I gave chocolate to on Valentines day.

If you guys didn’t read my Valentines Day post, you may be confused about what the heck White Day is.  White Day basically is Valentines Day for women (or if we don’t want to be gender specific, if you gave anything to anyone on Vday, you’ll most likely be getting something back on White Day).  Simple as that.  I gave bae this gorgeous box of Godiva chocolates so, as tradition permits, I get something back! YAYY!

He got me this beautiful box of macaroons so of course I waited for the morning light to take some fun minimal photos of my present but waited until yesterday to actually eat them.

Thanks for reading, and as just a bit of a apology to my email subscribers, I have been working on a new blog with my own domain name and I may have spammed you with a lot of emails recently because I was transferring some old blog posts to my new one.  Apologies!!  Also it seems the cat is out of the bag for those of you who didn’t know already, but yeah, I’m currently in the process of moving my blog to my own custom domain name.  I’ll still be here on wordpress but soon I’ll be moving to wordpress.org so I can do a lot more with my website.  Once my website is officially set up and I feel comfortable sharing it here, I’ll make an announcement and will cease from blogging on this blog.  Don’t worry, I’ll link you and give you as much info as I can but right now I’m still struggling to get things in working order and visibly appealing.  In the meantime, I’ll still be posting here!

Happy White Day ❤
